Truck maintenance routine operation is a very important work for ensuring truck transport safety, improving transport efficiency, extending service life and reducing maintenance costs is of great significance. Routine maintenance and servicing should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance manual. Regular maintenance and servicing includes the following aspects, we hope this operation manual can provide useful reference for drivers and maintenance personnel.
1. Engine Check & Maintenance:
a. Engine Check: Check coolant level, oil level, air filter cleanliness, spark plug condition.
b. Engine Maintenance: Change the oil and filter according to the manufacturer's recommended
service intervals, check and replace the air, fuel and oil filter, clean the engine interior
regularly to prevent carbon build-up.
c. Belt: generally need to be replaced around 50,000-80,000km.
2. Transmission Check & Maintenance:
a. Transmission Check: Transmission fluid level, differential fluid level, driveshaft fluid level.
b. Transmission Maintenance: Change transmission fluid, differential fluid and driveshaft fluid
at the manufacturer's recommended service intervals. Check drive shaft universal joints
and couplings for wear and replace in a timely manner.
c. Transmission oil generally 40,000-50,000 kilometres or so need to be replaced.
3. Axles Maintenance:
a. Replace lubricating oil and gear oil, check front beam of front axle, adjust brake clearance,
check fasteners, etc. for 3,000-5,000km of vehicle operation.
b. Carry out every 10,000km of operation after the first maintenance, including replacing the lubricating oil,
tightening the fasteners, checking the front beam, checking the brake lining wear, checking the reducer assembly and gear lash, adjusting the lash and replacing the grease.
c. Remove dirt, mud and other debris from the axle surface to prevent it from corroding the axle surface and parts.
4. Brake System Check & Maintenance:
a. Brake System Check: brake pad wear, brake disc wear, brake fluid level.
b. Brake System Maintenance: Regularly check the wear condition of brake pads and discs
and replace them in time. Check the brake fluid level and replace the brake fluid in time.
c. Brake lining: generally according to the road conditions, every 5,000-10,000 kilometres need to
check the thickness of the brake lining, can not be away from the rivet gap 3mm, more than the need for replacement.
5. Tyre Maintenance
a. Regularly check tyre pressure and wear conditions to ensure that tyres are in good condition.
b. Tyre balancing and tyre four-wheel alignment should be carried out at the
time recommended by the manufacturer.
c. Regularly check grease tyre bolts according to working conditions.
6. Electrical System Maintenance
a. Check the battery voltage and battery level, and replenish the battery fluid in time.
b. Check the electrical wiring of the entire vehicle to ensure that there is no wear and tear,
short circuit or leakage.
c. Whether the vehicle lighting and signal system can work properly.
7. Chassis Maintenance
a. Check the tightness of the bolts on all parts, especially the wheel bolts and U-bolts.
b. Wash the body and chassis regularly to remove accumulated dirt and rust.
c. Check the wear and tear of chassis parts and replace or repair them in time.
d. Regularly check the chassis rubber parts and shock absorption every 10,000km.
