How To Identify Whether A Used Truck Change Made Year ?

Now many used SINOTRUK HOWO brand used trucks on the market, but with different price with different quality. As you know the used truck can be artificially changed anywhere, such as the made year, engine power logo, mileage etc. This requires customers to improve their ability to identify used truck quality. Today we will introduce how to Identify whether a used truck change made year ?

 

 

 

-1. Engine Horsepower - Made Year.

 

According to the vehicle emission standards formulated by the State Environmental Protection Administration of China, the emission standards for trucks in each period are as follows:

Around 2008 year	336HP, 371HP	EURO 2
From 2009 to 2014 year	340, 375HP	EURO 3
From 2014 to 2015 year	375HP, 380HP	EURO 4
Around 2017 year	380HP	EURO 5
From 2019 to now	380HP	EURO 6

 

Actually the EURO 2 and EURO 3 engine used truck is very suitable for Africa, Asia and some South America countries, cause their engine is mechanical model, this type of engine does not require high oil quality. So if somebody tell you our used truck engine is mechanical model, then truck made year must is from 2008 to 2014. and you may notice don’t choose used truck which the engine is common rail and electric model. Cause the local diesel quality can’t meet this engine request, easily block the injection nozzle, and no one can repair it, even no spare parts.

 

 

-2. Chassis Number - Made Year.

 

In the chassis number encoding rule, one english alphabet represents the year of production, as shown below:

 

English Alphabet	Made Year
D	2013
E	2014
F	2015
G	2016
H	2017
I	Due to English alphabet “I” same like Arabic number 1, so replace it with “J”
J	2018
