It is essential to install water spray system on dump trucks, especially on large tonnage dump trucks and dump trucks that travel frequently on mountainous roads. Drum brakes are the typical braking device for dump trucks, where the braking force is generated by friction between the friction pads and the brake disc. However, frequent braking is required, the heat generated by friction may not be able to be dissipated and the temperature will increase, even reaching the ignition point of the tyre. At this point, spraying water is the fastest way to dissipate the heat. After spraying water, the heat will be quickly distributed, the braking system will not fail due to thermal overload, and the tyres will not catch fire due to overheating, so the vehicle becomes controllable and the safety factor is greatly improved. 1. Check before use:

 

Ensure that the water tank has sufficient water volume, the pipeline is unobstructed and undamaged, and the inlet ball valve is kept in a yentilated state. Ensure that the pressure value of the pressure regulating valve is within the range of 0.25-0.3 bar (when the *front water tank is installed); Within the range of 0:45-0.5bar (when side-mounted water tank).

 

2. Method of operation:

 

After adjusting the air inlet valve to the intake state, turn on the sprinkler system switch in the driver's cab to cool the wheel hub; After use, promptly return the switch to its original position (close) to avoid damage to relevant components. Adjust the exhaust ball valve to the exhaust state for complete exhaust, and then close the exhaust ball valve to avoid bulging and deformation of the water tank.

 

3. Method of adding water: 

 

Before water injection, close the inlet ball valve, open the exhaust ball valve, open the water injection pipe ball valve, and connect the water circuit for water injection. After water injection, first close the ball valve of the water injection pipe, disconnect the water injection pipeline, close the exhaust ball valve, and then open the inlet ball valve.

 

4. Sewage discharge method:

 

Open the exhaust ball valve and open the drain outlet at the bottom of the water tank to allow sewage to flow out. After draining, tighten the drain outlet at the bottom of the water tank and then close the exhaust ball valve.

 

5. Notice:

 

a. Regularly clean the filter valve in the outlet direction to prevent blockage impurities.

 

b. When using the sprinkler system at temperatures below zero. After adding water to water tank, please use it promptly and use up the water all at once until the nozzle no longer drips. And timely open the inlet and outlet ball valves to remove water from the inlet pipe.
